The Hang Seng Bank Scholarship Reception was held at the Hang Seng Bank headquarters in Central on October 7, 2010.
This year, eight HKU students received a scholarship from the Hang Seng Scholarship Scheme. Awards received include:
(1) the Hang Seng Bank Scholarship,
(2) the Hang Seng Bank Community Service Scholarship, and
(3) the Hang Seng Bank Scholarships for Mainland Undergraduate Students.
At the reception, The Hon Wong Yan-Lung, Secretary for Justice, HKSAR Government, shared his experiences with some 100 students from different local tertiary institutions and encouraged the students to explore their potential fully to face future challenges.
Since its establishment in 1995, the Hang Seng Bank Scholarship Scheme has allocated close to HK$54 million to various scholarships, benefiting over 1,400 students across Hong Kong.
