Ms Wong Shui-Ping (黃瑞萍) is a retired Chinese teacher and a kind-hearted person who has been donating to various causes since she landed her first teaching job from school. It is her belief that by reaching out to the needy one can live his or her life to the fullest.
As an educator, she understands the importance of a good university education and, therefore, has been supporting HKU in the areas of student bursaries and campus development, through the Bricks Campaign. Recently, she contributed part of her pension fund to set up a scholarship in support of underprivileged students, enabling them to realise their academic pursuits free from financial constraints.
