The romantic story begins with Mr Chau Kwok-ming (BBA 1991) encountering Miss Noel Tang Man-wai (BSocSc 1991), both St Johnians, at the orientation camp of the Management Studies Society in 1988. Since then the pair has grown together through the seasons of life and now they are celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary. In celebration of this milestone in their life, Mr Chau decided to set up a scholarship in the name of his wife.
“We believe and hope this donation will not only give some meaning to ourselves but also want to make some influence to current HKU students,” said Mr Chau. The alumni couple also wanted to share a quote from the Bible: “Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer” (Romans 12 :12)
