A generous donation of HK$500,000 was received from the Hong Kong and Macau Taiwanese Charity Fund (the Charity Fund) to establish a bursary in support of HKU undergraduate students with financial needs. Charity Fund Vice-Chairman Ms Angelique Yeh and representatives visited the University to hear its latest developments.
The Charity Fund has been very supportive of the University and had previously donated $500,000 to the University Museum and Art Gallery to hold art exhibitions and for bursaries for students.
港澳台灣同鄉慈善基金會「基金會」慷慨捐款港幣五十萬予香港大學，成立助學金，向經濟有需要之港大學學生提供援助。基金會副主席葉貞吟女士及其他代表到訪港大，了解大學發展概況。
基金會一直十分支持香港大學，早年已慷慨捐款港幣五十萬，捐款用於資助香港大學美術博物館活動及學生助學金。
