At a recent reunion of the Science Society 1977, Exco members donated $230,000 for the Lam Chi-him Memorial Prize in Physics Scholarship. The scholarships are awarded respectively to the best students completing the first year, and the other the second year, of the BSc curriculum in Physics.
Lam Chi-him (BSc 1979) was a teacher beloved for his passion for physics and affection for his students. To his University classmates, Chi-him was a cheerful man with an unflagging enthusiasm for physics.
