With an Enrichment Scholarship, Natalie Yu (MBBS) initiated a medical service trip to Cusco, Peru in her Enrichment Year. She was attached to an Obstetrics & Gynaecology clinic and assisted the doctors in physical examinations and minor surgical procedures. “It was truly a great opportunity and experience for me.”

Wai-yan Lai (BEng (CivEng) 2019) participated in a Cambodia Service Trip organised by a student organisation called “Pathfinder”, which aims to improve local lives through the construction of sanitation and hygiene facilities, and promote health and hygiene-related knowledge. “As an engineering officer on this trip, I felt it was like a mini preview of my future career and offered me a taste of what it is like to be a civil engineer.”
