HKU celebrated the new home of the Lui Che Woo Law Library

The University of Hong Kong presented the Dedication Ceremony for Lui Che Woo Law Library on October 30, 2012. It was to thank Dr Lui Che-Woo for his generous support to put in place an extended Law Library in the new home for the Faculty of Law at the Centennial Campus.

The Law Library was named after Dr Lui Che-Woo in 1997 in recognition of his donation. In 2010, Dr Lui committed further support to the University for setting up the new Law Library which will continue to be a nurturing ground for legal professionals.

Professor Lap-Chee Tsui, Vice-Chancellor, thanked Dr Lui for his support: “Legal education is vital for Hong Kong, and HKU has had a proud track record in the legal field. I thank Dr Lui for sharing this same vision in nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.”

In expressing his deep gratitude, the Dean of Law Professor Johannes Chan: “Dr Lui and the Faculty share a common vision of international outreach and enhancing the quality of legal education to train not just good lawyers but leaders who have a passion to serve, wherever they are.”
