VTech Group of Companies Scholarship Empowers Engineering Students to Pursue Their Dreams

The VTech Group of Companies Scholarship has opened doors of opportunity for outstanding Engineering students, enabling them to follow their dreams and create a positive impact. This year, three HKU students have been given the support and recognition they deserve to excel in their academic pursuits.

Jeremy Jiang (BEng (ME) Year 4), a Mechanical Engineering student minoring in German will be working on the final year project for HKU’s Formula Student Electric team. As the leader of the HKU RoboMaster Team, Jeremy has honed his skills in robot design and manufacturing. He is grateful and honoured to receive this scholarship as it recognises his hard work and supports his aspiration to become a racecar aerodynamicist. He plans to pursue a master’s degree at the Technical University of Munich and eventually start his career in the automotive industry in Germany.

As a Computer Science student, Ng Chun Ming (BEng (CompSc) Year 4) has always been fascinated by the transformative power of technology, particularly in the finance sector. With the scholarship’s support, he plans to leverage available resources to enhance his skills in computer science and finance, ultimately serving at the fintech landscape. His goal is to forge a career in IT within the finance industry, focusing on financial technology.

Febrina Audrey (BEng (IELM) Year 4) is working on her final year project which involves the development of an RFID- and blockchain-enabled tracking system to enhance supply chain operations. By leveraging such technologies, she aims to ensure transparency and integrity in the collection and storage of supply chain data.
